The Central Queensland resident held one of the nine division one winning entries in Saturday
Gold Lotto draw 4235, drawn Saturday 19 February 2022. Each entry scored $633,096.30.
“I was just laying in bed on Sunday morning, and I’d decided to check my ticket,” the ecstatic man
told an official from The Lott.
“I couldn’t believe it when I discovered I’d won division one. It was such a surreal feeling.
“I’m fairly new to playing lottery games. I’ve only just started playing Saturday Gold Lotto in recent
times, so I was very shocked that I’d won division one so soon.
“As soon as I realised I’d won $633,126, I ran straight to my family to tell them the news. They
were surprised and, of course, very happy for me.
“Thank you! Thank you!”
When asked how he planned to enjoy his good fortune, the Queensland player said it would
provide a major boost to his nestegg.
“I’ll put it in my savings account and work towards my long-term goals, like buying my first home,”
he said.
“I might even enjoy a holiday soon!”
His winning entry was purchased at Paper Shop & More, Shop 1, 38 Kariboe Street, Biloela.
Paper Shop & More co-owner Charmaine Bennett said the team was thrilled to have sold a
division one winning entry to a local customer.
“This is an exciting milestone for all of us! We haven’t sold a division one winning entry since
2018!” she said.
“We can just imagine the prize will go a long way, especially with all that’s happened in the past
two years with COVID.
“Congratulations to our winner and we wish him all the very best!
The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4235 on 19 February 2022 were 34, 18, 1, 5, 20
and 23, while the supplementary numbers were 35 and 9.
